I feel sorry for this guy

I recently got an email from a friend I haven't been in contact with for 3 years. It was good to hear from her (hi, Amy!). She had this to say about her efforts to reach me by phone:

Did you know that I called the last number that I had for you and asked if Brian was there and he said “This is Brian.” (It was in a very deep voice) and I said “This can’t be Brian. It doesn’t sound like you” Come to find out that person that has your old phone number is named Brian as well. It was funny he said, “I don’t know where he is, but I get phone calls for him all the time!”
I'm sorry this random person named Brian keeps getting phone calls for me. I can relate to his problem. There used to be an employee at my company whose name was "Brian Harman" (with a silly "a" in the last syllable of his name, instead of an "o", which would be decent and proper). I would get emails intended for this guy all the time - sometimes 3-4 per day! It got tiresome after a while.

I couldn't get my NJ drivers license for about a year because there are at least three J. B. Bates up here who have outstanding parking tickets. Every time I got cleared from being one of them, I found out there was another! And now I'm going to school with another one!

What about that person Brian Hamron? Do people still confuse you with him?

There used to be a person at work with my full name (she was a girl, yet spelled it "Daniel"), only she worked in England... I eventually got to know her and her English friends fairly well over e-mail (her friends started off sending me group e-mails by mistake, instead of her... got to know them all eventually).

They would often lace their conversations with words and places that I didn't know...

Tell Amy I said hi. Is she still working at that bank? Is she married to that person?

OK, Brent's problem is worse! Did Jen have to drive you everywhere?

Dan, are you asking about the email guy? He stayed with ALLTEL when the company split. Or are you just trying to annoy me by spelling my name "Hamron"?

I'll tell her you said hi. She does not work for the bank. She did not marry that guy.

I still want to know which Amy we are discussing, because all along I thought it was another Amy, when in fact it does not seem to be the Amy I had in mind.

I remember something about the dew on Mt Hermon being pertinent to discussions of your name.

I believe the Amy we're discussing is she of the "little lumber"... if you catch my meaning.

I uused Hamron because I know you were fond of Dan'l calling you that in college.

Where is she working now that she is no longer working for the bank?
