No chicken escapes from Tweedy’s farm!

Only 3 more episodes left!

Posted by Brian August 02, 2005

I’m currently writing up a big long post about where I went to church this past Sunday, which will probably only really be interesting to me. It’s taking forever, because I find myself wanting to say more and more about it: realizing of course, that you don’t really care.

But meanwhile, I recently learned that there are only 3 episodes left of Six Feet Under. This is not happy news for me. SFU is the reason I subscribe to HBO. I really kind of hate to see it go, and I’m getting nervous about how things are going to turn out - especially since one of the main characters died in the most recent episode! I mean, I sort of expected that a main character would die in the last episode, since somebody dies every week. But they sprang it on me early.

*sigh*

Well, there is an upside. You could now cancel your subscription to HBO and save some money. :)

Just looking for a little silver lining behind the cloud.

Heheh . . . for church did you go to Christ the King, Christ the King? :)

I recently found some of the literature I pilfered from their racks when we visited for the JMT concert. At the time I didn’t feel bad about it, since they were evil heathen Catholics, but having since become Catholic, I’m thinking the pamphlets ought to be sent back to them, even though I’m sure they don’t want the stuff now.

mom - yes, but now it looks like they’ve got another good show coming out - “Rome” - that I kinda want to see. So I’ll probably just keep sending in my money to the stupid cable company. :)

kate - no, it was Holy Trinity Orthodox Church. But I’ll gladly go back to CtK if John Michael Talbot has another concert there! :)

By the way - isn’t it just as wrong to steal from heathens as from good Church of Christ folk?

Seriously, though, isn’t it the point of “tract racks” in churches that you are supposed to take the literature?

Oooh, you went to an Orthodox liturgy?? Wow, it must have been beautiful!

All the literature I pilfered had little stickers on them which said “Please return to tract rack. Copies can be purchased from bookstore.” So, while it was ok to take them home, I wasn’t supposed to KEEP them, which is what I did.

Of course it was wrong to steal from “heathen,” but, see, I said to myself, “Well, it’s all lies, lies! Why should I return information which if believed leads STRAIGHT TO HELL??” :)

By the way, do you happen to remember how when we went to find a seat, I, dissatisfied with where we sat, voiced my complaint with “But I can’t see the idols!”

    I’m SUCH a class act. . . .

Ha! Yes, I remember your “idol” comment, Kate. It’s funny now, but I was so embarrassed at the time. And you were in all seriousness when you said it: “But I can’t see the idols!”

I think I tried to shush you. :)
