“Inclusivity”

“Inclusivity” is a buzzword in some circles that really turns some people off.
There’s a good post and discussion about what “inclusive” really means over at The Propaganda Box.

Sweet!
Occasionally we have guest instrumentalists at church. I’ve just learned that this Sunday the Meshugga Klezmer Band will be there. “Klezmer” is a type of traditional Jewish music involving accordions and clarinets. Apparently one of our parishioners is a member of the band.
But what’s also cool is: another member of the band is Peter Miller, a famous Jewish Little Rock lawyer. He’s famous for his enormous smile and his extremely cheesy “if you’ve been injured…call me, Peter Miller” commercials which are ALL OVER the TV here.
On another note, does anybody remember the scene in the kid’s room in the movie “Fargo”? The dad is standing there talking to the son very seriously about how his mom has been kidnapped, and we see in the background that the kid has a poster on his door of a polka guy with an accordion, labeled “The Accordion King”. That always cracks me up!

In general, I think Andrew Sullivan has been saying some good things about this whole mess about the Danish cartoons and the ensuing riots.
(You might have to scroll down quite a bit. He’s had several posts about it.)
